BM Catalysts Supports Autocat V9 Update

BM Catalysts has backed a recent update to the popular parts catalogue system MAM, stating it is ‘set to revolutionise’ the emissions aftermarket. The move, which matches Euro levels to vehicle registrations and then links them to the correctly homologated catalyst or DPF for the first time ever, has been introduced as a way of providing distributors and installers with far greater accuracy when searching for emission-based products. The new release means it will now be almost impossible for users to get an incorrect match with non-compliant parts for their vehicle.

Autocat v9, rolled out to customers this month, is trusted by counter staff at motor factors and installers across the country. Prior to the recent change, users utilising the software were able to see parts that were not suitable due to incorrect homologations, when identifying and comparing aftermarket components for a specific vehicle and application.

A leading manufacturer in the aftermarket and Europe’s largest producer of high quality DPFs, catalytic converters and front pipes, BM Catalysts believes the update will provide a significant boost to the industry, as commercial director Mark Blinston explains: “With all the talk around vehicle emissions at present, it’s important that distributors and their customers are able to see quickly and easily the right parts they need to ensure they comply to the latest Euro standards. The UK has also undergone a raft of changes to the MOT system, with a particular focus on checks to the exhaust around tampering, removal or visible smoke production from the DPF. This makes the v9 update even more timely and I’m sure that the move implemented by MAM will prove revolutionary in showing customers what parts they need right down to their specific vehicle registration. We look forward to the v9 update moving into full swing over the upcoming months.”

BM Catalysts, which exports to over 35 countries worldwide, is currently in midst of processing another successful Automechanika in Frankfurt, where the firm recorded its highest number of visitors to its stand ever and showcased its latest Euro 6 parts, which have an impressive car parc coverage of 1,514,041 vehicles throughout the UK and Europe.
